Our Story Starts With Real Problems

Back in 2019, we noticed something troubling. Students were finishing coding bootcamps but still couldn't build actual websites. They knew frameworks but missed the fundamentals. So we decided to fix that.

Why We Built Something Different

Most web development courses jump straight into React or Vue. Students memorize syntax but can't explain how CSS actually works. They struggle with responsive design because they never learned the underlying principles.

We saw talented people getting stuck on basic layout problems. They'd spend hours fighting with flexbox because no one explained the fundamentals first. That's when we realized the industry needed a back-to-basics approach.

Our programs start with HTML semantics, CSS positioning, and JavaScript fundamentals. Students build real projects without frameworks first. They understand what's happening under the hood before adding complexity.

Meet The People Behind The Programs

We're not just instructors. We're working developers who understand current industry challenges and what students actually need to succeed.

Astrid Kallberg, Lead Developer and Curriculum Designer

Astrid Kallberg

Lead Developer & Curriculum Designer

Spent five years building e-commerce sites before realizing most developers never learned proper CSS fundamentals. Now designs our curriculum around real-world problems she's solved in production environments.

Vesna Dimitrova, Student Success Coordinator

How We Actually Teach

Our approach is intentionally different. We start with hand-coded HTML and CSS before touching any frameworks. Students build portfolios using vanilla JavaScript first, then learn why frameworks exist.

  • Build real projects from scratch, no templates
  • Understand browser behavior and debugging techniques
  • Learn responsive design through practice, not theory
  • Focus on clean code and maintainable practices
  • Get feedback on actual industry standards

Ready To Learn The Right Way?

Our next comprehensive program starts in September 2025. We keep class sizes small and focus on individual progress. If you're serious about building solid web development skills, we'd love to talk.
